*Due to budget cuts at the University of Utah, the band program was cut in 1969. Tau Beta Sigma – Omicron continued to serve at the university until 1973, when it too ceased to exist. Interest in recolonization of the chapter began in 2002, and a colony was established on January 27, 2003. The Omicron Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma was officially reinstalled on October 5th, 2003 by the Omega Chapter from Tucson, Arizona.*
